Cakesicle / Cake Pops

 

  


DO YOU HAVE LEFTOVER CAKE AND NO IDEA WHAT TO DO WITH IT?

I GOT YOUR BACK! 

MAKE THESE AMAZING CAKESICLES/ CAKE POPS IN A JIFFY WITH JUST A FEW INGREDIENTS...



INGREDIENTS:-
  • Chocolate for coating  (white/milk/dark- your choice)
  • Ganache (optional)
  • Cake
  • Sprinkles (optional)
EQUIPMENTS NEEDED:-
  • Mixing bowl
  • Icecream sticks/ Popsicle sticks
  • Spatula
  • Parchment paper
  • Cakesicle moulds (optional)
METHOD:-
  1. In a mixing bowl, crush the leftover frosted cake. If the cake isn't frosted, crumble it and add ganache until you can form a ball.
  2. Option 1 {Cake Pop}Using the cake mix, make little balls and insert a popsicle stick into each. Place them in the parchment paper with the stick side up and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  3. Option 2 {Cakesicle}Fill the cakesicle moulds completely with cake mix and ice cream sticks. Make sure they're all filled equally, with no clumps on top. Refrigerate for 30 minutes. (Mould reference given below)
  4. Melt the chocolate and pour it into a tall glass while it is being warmed. Each cake pop/cakesicle should be dipped in chocolate one at a time to ensure uniform coverage.
  5. Place these onto parchment and refrigerate for another 30 mins. (If you wish to add sprinkles, add them before refrigerating it.) 
  6. You may also customize it in a variety of ways, as shown below!
