Chocolate Drips

LET'S LEARN HOW TO MAKE THESE VIRAL CHOCOLATE DRIPS!!

Ingredients:-
100g Chocolate (white, milk, dark - your choice) -  Chopped
50g Heavy Cream

Method:-
  1. Heat the cream till it comes to a boil. Do not boil it!
  2. In a mixing bowl, pour the cream over the chopped chocolate.
  3. Allow for a few minutes for the chocolate to completely melt. Mix everything well, making sure there are no chocolate lumps. (If so, melt it in a double boiler for a few minutes or microwave it for 10 seconds - stir - 10 seconds.)
  4. Allow just a few minutes for the ganache to warm up before pouring it into a piping bag to produce the drips.
  5. Now it's time to have some fun! - Make sure the hole in the piping bag isn't too huge by cutting it at the tip. First, test the drips in a tall glass to observe how much pressure they have and how quickly they flow down the glass. (Let the ganache rest for a few minutes longer if the drips are too thin.) Microwave it for 5 seconds if the drips are too thick and aren't running down).
  6. Begin by piping drips down the cake from the edge, applying pressure on the piping bag at intervals/wherever you want the dripping to appear. demonstrated in the video below
  7. Apply the same ganache on the top and spread it evenly.
  8. Optional: You may use an offset spatula to create the spiral design shown in the video.

Beginners tip- It's fine if the drips don't turn out the way you planned! Don't be too hard on yourself; a rustic-looking cake is always an option ;)
Also, like they say, practice makes perfect!
